POWER: How Strategy, Team, and Execution Visibly Connect

Most strategies are better than their reputation. The problem rarely lies in the idea but in the path to it: between what's decided at the top and what happens on the ground, half of it gets lost along the way. POWER is our attempt to make that path visible — as a chain of five links, none of which can be missing.

The five links

  • Positioning — what you stand for and what you decide against. Without it, everyone pulls in a different direction.
  • Ownership — who is truly accountable, not just responsible. Shared responsibility is usually none.
  • Impact — how you measure that something works. Activity is not the same as progress.
  • Experiment — how you test the new without betting everything. Learning beats guessing.
  • Routine — what happens regularly so it doesn't get swallowed by day-to-day business.

Each link on its own is mundane. The effect comes from the connection: clear positioning without ownership stays a poster on the wall. Ownership without measurable impact becomes gut feeling. Impact without experiment freezes the moment the market shifts. And the whole thing falls apart if there's no routine to keep it alive.

Why visibility is the real lever

The most common mistake isn't leaving out a link — it's not seeing which one is currently breaking. That's exactly what POWER is for: not another model to memorize, but a shared language a team can use to name, in ten minutes, where the chain is snagging. Is it positioning? Ownership? Routine? Once the spot has a name, it becomes solvable.

A strategy only becomes a strategy when the team knows what part of it they're working on right now.

That's why POWER isn't a talk but a way of working. It lives on being applied regularly — to the real topics, with the real people who execute them. And it's exactly at these five links that the 42 blockages come in: each describes a concrete pattern where one of the links typically breaks.
