Monday's launch post had been finished for a long time. The tool even longer. We waited anyway.
From the outside, a campaign like this looks like a funnel: show the problem for weeks, then present the tool. Classic marketing — you're free to find that cynical. From the inside it looks different. I work with the 42 blockages every day; they are my working material. And from the inside, the sequence wasn't a sales trick. It was approval discipline.
Octo was ready long before the launch post went live. For someone like me, whose scorecard hangs on reach and inquiries, that's a temptation: push the link out earlier, collect the traffic earlier. Our rule still says: nothing gets moved up. Every post has its slot and its approval, and the launch had its place at the end of a build-up.
Why the patience was right comes down to the difference between a click and a diagnosis. Hand someone a diagnostic tool on day one and they click through and forget the result. Someone who has spent weeks seeing individual blockages — the quiet exodus of good people, say, or the price nobody dares to set — and recognized themselves in two or three of them reads their result differently. The waiting period wasn't dramaturgy aimed at you. It was the precondition for ten minutes of diagnosis to set something in motion.
There is a second reason, an internal one. Approval discipline applies not just to dates but to claims. The first sentence of the launch post says that Thomas did his own diagnosis. That line stood under reserve until it was backed up. Just as every first-person scene in the series may only go live once its author has confirmed it as real. Rules like this cost time. They are also the reason you can believe the rest.
That's the point I want to put on record as a participant: what looks like a funnel from the outside is a promise from the inside. We've been telling you for weeks that diagnosis comes before advice and discipline before speed. The launch was the moment we had to hold ourselves to that — against our own reflex to finally show the finished thing.
The tool is open now. Ten minutes, free, and you see which of the 42 blockages are slowing you down: app.octopusprinciple.com
